Nice day in Tenbury

It was a bit nippy in Tenbury yesterday! The market stalls had ice on the tops and woolly hats were definately needed. My sweetest sale was to a lovely woman who was in the early stages of pregnancy and bought a pair of little booties as the first gift to her baby :)

Tenbury AppleFest this weekend

Just about ready for our first outing of the autumn at the AppleFest in Tenbury Wells on the south Shropshire border. Felted some new hats - we had to light the woodburner to dry them and sweltered for a couple of days! Pricing, making business cards, pickling onions, it's all go in this little corner of the Long Mynd.

Hats drying in front of the fire

wild horses up the road, nothing to do with hats

Where you can see us over the next few months

We have booked a few fairs over the next three months, come and say hello!

Saturday 15th October Tenbury Apple Festival, Tenbury Wells
Saturday 12th November Church Stretton School Craft Fair, Shropshire
Saturday 3rd December Malvern Christmas Lights Fair
Saturday 10th December Leominster Victorian Christmas Fair

We are also making a Folksy shop, which is part of a community of people who make and sell all sorts of things. It's a slow process when you have a busy 4 year old at home, but we are at the stage of listing things now. The shop address is http://www.folksy.com/shops/TheRainbowSheep

Back to it, at last

We have now moved into a house on the beautiful Long Mynd in Shropshire and are happily making away. I've just been to the Colinette factory shop at Llanfair Caereinion and bought lots of yummy mohair to mix in with felting wool (from knitting 4 fun) to make a new batch of hats. Pinks, reds and blues mainly. I'm also in the process of making an etsy shop, but there never seems to be enough hours in the day! Colin is making more felt brooches, mainly in lovely natural shades this time from named breeds of sheep.
Planning some shows in the next few months so watch this space...
